GBViE Programme Resource Pack Kit 1: Getting Started
Kit 1: Getting Started introduces the UNICEF GBViE Programme Resource Pack.
It has four sections:
Section 1
About the GBViE Programme Resource Pack orients UNICEF and partner staff to the Resource Pack by overviewing its background, purpose and contents.
Section 2
UNICEF’s GBViE Programme Framework introduces the GBViE programming model used by UNICEF on which the Resource Pack is based.
Section 3
A Primer on GBV provides essential information on GBV in emergencies. It contains information about the problem of GBV, the causes and its impacts, including on children.
Section 4
Foundations for GBV Programming provides information on the legal, normative and policy foundations for UNICEF’s humanitarian response in emergency settings; the guiding principles that underpin UNICEF’s work; and good practices in GBV prevention, risk mitigation and response in emergencies. This section also highlights the importance of staff values, attitudes and behaviours in GBV work.
